A movie or VOD is an electronic way of moving pictures, texts, graphics, and videos that are combined together to stream a string of images that are used for the purpose of entertainment, information, education, and other purposes. If the content that is shared digitally is longer than ten minutes and requires to be watched on the TV or theatre it is known as a Movie. To play a movie or video or short clips or files on the internet you must definitely have a video streaming player that supports different video file formats. Movies are termed 'Video on Demand' [VOD] as they are presented to the viewers on demand in different categories.

Such categories may range from crime, drama, thriller, action, horror, comedy, family, and history, to many more. Individual subscriber is given a wide range of video content that allows the users to watch any movie or VOD of their choice from the VOD server's media library. Each user or viewer possesses a collection of different media files that are stored in his or her streaming device and they can browse and watch the content anytime and at any place by simply selecting it. This streaming of VOD over the internet protocol uses the real-time streaming protocol for the transmission of media files as it deploys the unicast mode of transmission.
