## What is sideloading?

Sideloading is the process of installing third-party apps on your Roku device that is not available in the official Roku Channel Store. This means that you can access a wider range of apps on your Roku device. To sideload apps on your Roku, you need to enable developer mode on your device and install the apps manually using our **Purple Tools Sideloading Feature.**

Sideloading on Roku can be a great way to expand your entertainment options and access niche or specialized content.
